WEEKLY FOCUS
Never giving up!
Keeping faith in times of adversity
Too often, the easy option is to give up…It’s just too hard. But what separates those that keep fighting from those that give up? Is giving up always the wrong thing?
There are two differences that we need to consider, it would not be wrong to give up on something that had been attempted many times before, with the same end result with one caveat!
“If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you’ve always got.” HENRY FORD
The inference being that something has to either change or some means of personal improvement found. Edison was credited with the famous quote below…
“I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”
Without his constant perseverance, we may never have had light! These may be the exceptions to the heading for this week’s Focus…”Keeping faith in times of adversity”.
In most situations and for most people, we need to remember certain things…
- Even when you think that you have done all that you can, you will usually be wrong! It just depends how far you’re willing to go to get what you want.
- If you settle for good enough, that’s all you will be and someone will surpass you.
- Reaching a special achievement will always be a challenge! If it wasn’t that challenging, everyone else would try!
- Behind every successful person, there is usually a story of adversity and then triumph
- It’s also worth remembering that Rome was not built in a day!
The things in life that we strive for, may appear daunting, but often you will find people around you that can help.
Our dreams and GOALS need to mean something special to each of us. The vision or picture of the moment that we so strive for, needs to be a very powerful image…an image that drives us on, through challenging times.
We have to re-programme our minds…To think of ourselves in a very positive light and dispel any thoughts of negativity.
Making the seemingly impossible become reality, is in the bounds of mere mortals…Providing you believe enough.
